Committee Reports

2.   Community  – Holly, Help of Ojai cleanup scheduled for this weekend is postponed due to  rain in the forecast. We are asking every member to support the Christmas
turkey drive. $10.00 for each turkey and we want to provide 100 turkeys.

3.   Foundation  – Jim,  Jim spoke about Rotary  International’s world projects and ask us to be “EREY” meaning “Every Member  Every Year” contributing to the Foundation.

2.   Lou Torres announced that there would be a  communitywide Ojai flow meeting Wednesday at Nordhoff high school beginning  at 6 PM

3.  Jim Halverson announced that Dennis Jones  knee replacement surgery went well

4.    Tom Farmer announced that he had loaned  Dennis Jones his Cane, Walker and potty chair.

5.    President Beebe announced that we had  received a certificate regarding our GSE team from Korea

6.  Barbara Jackman presented the club with a  Rotary flag from Santa Fe New Mexico.

“Marvelous” Mauve who’s now the captain at the Lake Casitas fire
station along with fellow firefighter (and husband) Andy shared numerous stories regarding
a firefighter’s life including training, providing education, and even being
struck by lightning. Capt. Mauve informs us that she works for the National
Forest Service which is part of the Department of Agriculture and that she is
one of the very few female firefighters as all females must meet all the
stringent training requirements as do male firefighters
